SCCA Crowns 20 Champions at First Time Attack Nationals
Original source date: October 26, 2026. The Sports Car Club of America has named the first 20 champions from its inaugural Tire Rack Time Attack National Championship, held October 22 to 25 at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Texas.
The event brought together Club Spec, Sport, Tuner, Max and Unlimited classes. SCCA reported 17 counterclockwise track records during Friday and Saturday sessions. Jackie Ding earned the Fastest Lap Cup with a 1:57.004 lap, while competitors also received community and sportsmanship awards.
For grassroots racers, the new national championship offers another high-profile competition format beyond traditional wheel-to-wheel racing.
